Industry output falls at slowest rate for a year

The total volume of construction work fell in the second quarter of 2009,but at the slowest rate for a year according to new Government figures.rnOffice for National Statistics figures show construction output in the second quarter of 2009 totalled £23.9 billion, down 0.5 per cent on Ql's £24 billion.rnThe small fall follows a larger drop of 8 per cent in the first quarter of 2009 and it is the slowest fall in output since Q2 2008.
