Split tendering risk not viable

The tendering cycle seems to be on the way down at the moment. For example, the Building Cost Information service reported in June that tender prices in the first quarter of 2009 were 6.4 per cent lower than the equivalent in 2008 and would reach a low of -14.9 per cent in 2010 before recovery in 2011. The latest National Specialist Contractors Council survey of members showed that 80 per cent of contractors were reducing their prices in the second quarter of 2009.
