Increased sales and profit mar-gins have left Bovis Homes quietly confident about 2011, the firm said this week.In a trading update to the Stock Exchange the housebuilder said it expects to complete 1,900 homes this year -1,600 private, 300 social. This would be an increase from 1,800 last year. With rising average prices and reduced construction costs, the company expects to exceed its 2009 operating margin of 6.2 per cent.It said in a statement: "It is expected market conditions will remain challenging over the coming months."However, the group is confi-dent, based on these market conditions, that with an increase in active sales outlets it can increase its output capacity and sell a greater number of new homes in 2011.
