With the protracted discussions around the composition of the new government now resolved there is an opportunity to offer some thoughts on what the coalition government might mean for our sector.rnOne of the great engines of a recovering economy is housebuilding, but how will a Conservative policy that calls for the scrapping of national building targets for a more localised approach and a Lib Dem intention to impose VAT on new homes have an impact on the reasonably upbeat recent pronouncements by our f lagbearers in the sector?
