BAA to invest ￡1bn in upgrades during 2010

Airport operator BAA will spend more than ￡1 billion upgrading its airports this year despite reporting an ￡821.9 million loss for 2009.rnBAA, which is owned by Spanish construction giant Ferrovial,will spend the money throughout the course of the year as part of a ￡6bn capital investment programme in its portfolio.
