Tesco aims to boost supply chain productivity

Tesco wants to increase productivity in its construction supply chain by around 20 per cent over the next two years, the retail giant's property development director has told Construction News. Trevor Bacon said large clients such as Tesco held a joint responsibility with contractors and subcontractors in improving collaboration in the supply chain to reduce waste in construction. The retailer has benefited from innovation including modular buildings, standardised design, and offsite construction of pods to house staff rooms.
