Miller chief eyes broader role for firm

Miller Construction is targeting new markets as well as earlier and later involvement in projects as chief executive Chris Webster ramps up his plan to grow the firm. Mr Webster, who joined the contracting arm of Miller in September 2010, has launched a wide-ranging strategy to increase turnover by almost 50 per cent. He is working on plans that will see Miller Construction offer pre-build consultancy and post-build asset management, as well as beef up its construction work. The company will target work in defence, science and regeneration alongside its core sectors of education, health, retail and offices.
