1.A moisture reduction system was fitted in May 2007, initially prompting a large fall due to additional removal of free water accumulated in stock bays and producing a sustained reduction of 0.6 LPT or 7 kW. 2.A trial exhaust gas recirculation was fitted in August 2007 at 1:3 scale to ensure feasibility and no downstream problems. This led to a sustained cut of 0.15 LPT or 1.73 kW. This was upscaled to recycle 33 per cent of exhaust gases in December 2007. Variable speed drive and control fitted in April 2008 led to a reduction is 0.3 LPT or 3.45 kW.
