Eighteen contractors have been shortlisted for the main construction of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, Construction News can reveal. The firms make up eight joint ventures shortlisted across three main works contracts: west, central and east. The shortlisted contractors on the west contract are Bam Nuttall, Balfour Beatty and Morgan Sindall; Costain, Vinci and Bachy; Dragados and Samsung; Ferrovial Agroman and Laing O'Rourke.
