Tender prices set to rise faster as conditions pick up

Tender prices are forecast to rise by more than previously expected as construction moves further in recovery, but there is a degree of caution remaining among the industry's consultants. The latest round-up of tender price forecasts from six consultancies and quantity surveying firms, plus the Building Cost Information Service, shows that tender prices across the UK are forecast to rise by 3 per cent on average in 2014. Growth will then accelerate to 4 per cent in 2015 and 4.4 per cent in 2016.
