Education approvals went from strength to strength in Scotland in the four months from July to Ocotber on the same period a year earlier. Health recovered from a weak start to 2013 and estimates suggest its approvals were up for the year overall. Offices also made up for a poor first half of 2013 during the period, which should help its approvals for the year as a whole match 2012's total, although these figures are still down sharply on 2011. Private housing held steady over the four months but is expected to have ended the year down slightly on 2012.
