Utility connections are a major cause of construction delays, so it is vital to maintain control of costs and timescales of this key aspect of any project. Using an independent utilities connection provider for new electricity connections can offer lower costs, flexible payment terms and improved service, on timescales to match construction programmes. This does not mean sacrificing quality and safety, however. Independent providers are accredited to design and build the electrical networks they install, which must meet the same standards as those built by regional Distribution Network Operators.
