The device comprises at least one take-over gripper which has a gripper arrangement, whose opening time can be changed independent of its drive. A drive mechanism, which controls the gripper finger of the take-over gripper (6), is adjustable against the drive of movement of the take-over gripper. A cam controls the movement of the bottom gripper finger (12). The cam is driven by the drive of the take-over gripper and is adjustable in its relative position to the drive.
