Counters Creek sewer on Crossrail 2 collision course

Plans by Thames Water to build a major sewer in London could face delay if the safeguarding on a Crossrail 2 route is not removed by the government. The preferred route for Thames Water's Counters Creek project is understood to affect one of Crossrail 2's safeguarded routes. The Counters Creek flooding alleviation scheme is Thames Water's biggest project after its Thames Tideway Tunnel super sewer. The scheme is designed to reduce the risk of sewer flooding for more than 1,700 basement properties in Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea.
