Balfour Beatty/ Vinci HS2 team appoints MD

The Balfour Beatty Vinci HS2 joint venture has named Mark Cutler as its new managing director. Peter Anderson, its former MD, has moved to rival Murphy after working with Balfour since 1990. Mr Anderson will become Murphy's managing director for the South and is the latest in a wave of high-profile hires made by the infrastructure firm. A Laing O'Rourke/Murphy JV won the northern enabling works contract for HS2 last year and is shortlisted for three of the seven main civils contracts in joint venture with FCC.
