NMCN expects to make a loss in 2021, on top of its losses for 2020. In a trading update, the company said it was expecting a loss for the current financial year due to problems in its building business and a number of "challenges" on two loss-making contracts in the water sector. The company has issued a string of growing profit warnings for 2020 following the abrupt departure of chief executive John Homer last summer. In May, the company raised its expected losses for 2020 to £24m. It expects to publish its delayed results for the year ending 31 December 2020 by the end of June. CEO Lee Marks is currently carrying out a "comprehensive review" of the business. He said last month: "There is certainly much to do but with progress toward an appropriate financing structure being made I look forward to the challenge."
