Tottenham Hotspur stadium to open in April

The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium will open next month, the club has announced. Spurs' first league game will either be played at the venue against Crystal Palace on 3 April or Brighton on 6 or 7 April. The fixture will depend on whether Brighton qualify for the next round of the FA Cup, which would be held on the first weekend of April. Two test events, required in order for the stadium to be granted a safety certificate, are scheduled for 24 and 30 March, and will feature a youth and retired players' team respectively.
