Following Paragon Interior's collapse a few weeks back, chief executive Alan Hardy released a statement. It was the second statement in three days and it offered "assurances" to one group affected by the administration. But it wasn't Paragon Interiors staff, nor was it the subcontractors owed for completed work. Even clients whose projects were thrown into uncertainty didn't get a mention. Because Mr Hardy was sending a message to the supporters of his football club Notts County, of whom he is also the owner.
