Sochi on target

President and CEO of Sochi 2014, Dmitry Chernyshenko has gone on record to say construction for the 2014 Winter Olympics is on schedule. Speaking at the 121st International Olympic Committee Session in Copenhagen, Mr Chernyshenko said that active construction work was continuing on infrastructure and venues in both the coastal and mountain sites. He also said work was following the schedule submitted to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Kozak said, "The Russian government continues its active support that secured Sochi 2014 as a national priority project. The government guarantees that the Games in Sochi will be delivered in line with all commitments made during and after the bid stage."
