Atlas Copco has introduced what it claims is the only 700kg sold body hydraulic breaker in the shape of its SB 702, for which it claims lower fuel consumption, lower vibrations and less noise. The SB702 works with a wide flow range, said the company, and can therefore be used on a wide range of carriers, and is protected from hydraulic overload by an integrated protection valve to avoid potential damage and associated downtime. Its one-piece construction makes it compact and easy to handle. The percussion mechanism and guide system are integrated into a single block of steel, eliminating side bolts. The integrated accumulator is said to be maintenance-free and easily accessible but still well protected from external damage.
