Bauer helps with cement plant

Since July 2011, 000 Bauer Technologie, a subsidiary of Bauer Spezialtiefbau, has been carrying out foundation works for a new Lafarge cement plant in Ferzikovo, about 200km south-west of Kaluga, Russia. The project includes installing 18,000m of 1 m-diameter fully-encased piles, each up to 26m long. The work is being carried out by two Bauer BG 40 and BG 28 rotary drilling rigs. As part of the project, OOO Bauer Technologie carried out static pile load tests, surveying work, parts of the earthworks and the groundwater control. The contract was worth €8 million.
