摘要

The report covers the operation of cement plants and asbestos-cement plants in Syria. It assesses the actual situation and potentials of the plants and makes recommendations for immediate improvements, investments to achieve better plant operation, and higher efficiency with regard to fuel consumption. The three appendices cover the visits to: Tartous Cement Plant; Sheikh Said Cement Plant; and Aleppo Asbestos-Cement Factory.
