Europe's construction industry goes green

Green is a popular colour in the corridors of power in Brussels at the moment. In 2013 alone, we have been presented with new policy initiatives on green products, green organisations, green infrastructure and, as recently as just a couple of weeks ago, green SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises). A seemingly unstoppable flow of green policy has been introduced for contractors in Europe during the last few months, including the so-called green buildings policy.
