European rental companies are reporting modest growth compared to North America, but the trend is still positive and signs of progress are being reported -even in southern European countries such as Spain and Italy, which were hit hard during the economic crisis. According to the ERN50, the ranking of the largest rental companies in Europe by 2013 rental revenues, which is published by International Rental News (IRN), the top 50 companies in Europe reported rental revenues of €10 billion in 2013. While this represented a slight fall against the figure of €10.2 billion recorded for 2012, the total European rental companies in the overall IRAN100 table - which is IRN's global ranking - reported average growth of 2% year-on-year.
