Renting aerial-work platforms—telescoping booms and scissorlifts—for overhead construction work has almost become the standard on jobsites. The machines improve productivity because they can elevate workers directly to an overhead area. And, when work is completed, most can be driven to the next area without having to return to the ground. They are also easier on workers because they don't need to climb up and down ladders or scaffolding to get to the work or hauling up the tools necessary to do the job.
