The largest of Manitou's MT series, the MT 10055, has a rated lift capacity of 10,000 pounds and a maximum lift height of 55 feet. It has standard outriggers and its boom has a welded box-section design, providing more strength than comparable models, Manitou says. The patented Personnel Work Platform (PWP) Safety System is available as an option. The PWP System allows the use of an ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-compliant personnel work platform. A rear axle stabilizer system improves stability by locking the rear axle in position whenever the boom is raised more than 60 degrees, the parking brake is applied, or the PWP System is activated. Other features include a heavy-duty frame with reinforced C-channels, and internal wet disc brakes.
