摘要

The interaction of intersecting load-bearing walls subjected to vertical loading can occur by force transfer through their common interface, mainly when service loads are considered. The paper investigates this phenomenon, with focus on the mechanism of load transfer between walls subjected to different levels of compression. The study is carried out using finite element modelling, and shows that the homogenisation considering service loads can be predicted by a simple finite element model. The distribution of shear stress along the interface can be simulated by a parabolic distribution, enabling the assessment of peak values by a simple formula.
