A reactive powder mortar (RPM) with a flow value of 200% and a compressive strength of 75 MPa is proposed. A series of slant shear, rebar pull-out and tensile strength tests were performed on cylindrical specimens repaired using the proposed highly flowable RPM. Results were compared with tests on specimens repaired using epoxy resin. The experimental results indicate that the slant shear strength of cylindrical specimens repaired using RPM could be as high as specimens repaired using epoxy resin. The highly flowable RPM provides much higher rebar pull-out forces and tensile strengths in cylindrical specimens compared to epoxy resin specimens. It was found that the rebar pull-out force and corresponding failure mode of the cylindrical specimens repaired using RPM were affected significantly by the cross-sectional area of the rebar used. As a result, the highly flowable RPM is an adequate repair material that can be utilized for concrete structures.
