Capol, a specialist manufacturer of glazes and antisticking agents for the confectionery industry, is expanding its portfolio by acquiring Canada-based Colarome. As part of the acquisition, Capol obtains a new production plant in North America, which it says will further strengthen business in the region and abroad. Founded in 1998, Colarome is based in St. Hubert in the greater Montreal region and employs 17 people. The company holds patents on a production technology for a line of natural pigments allowing to create coating products for food applications. It offers flavour formulations and natural colour pigments as well as natural vanilla extracts.
