Self-compacting concrete demonstration and international workshop

摘要

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) avoids the need for compaction when placing fresh concrete. This saves time, reduces labour requirements and energy demands and opens the way for automation of the concrete construction process. Concrete quality is improved and the amount of remedial work after curing is reduced. Placing is noiseless, as vibrators are no longer required, and the most physically strenuous activity in concreting work is eliminated. In short, SCC is arguably the greatest advance in concrete technology for decades.
