Eton Rowing Lake Bridges, Dorney, Windsor

Since late 2000, an Olympic standard rowing facility has been taking shape near Taplow in Buckinghamshire. An Eton College owned aggregate company has been extracting natural gravels and with the combination of underlying clay and a high water table, lakes have been the result. The main 2km-long, 140m-wide rowing lake has been completed and the parallel 80m-wide feeder lake is well under construction. An access road and a cycle track both run the length of the intervening strip of land and with the lakes being connected at the start, middle and finish, a series of bridges were required.
