M25 motorway mayhem could have been prevented

CLOSURE of the M25 in August following a lorry hitting the central reservation could have been prevented if concrete, rather than steel, barriers had been installed on that section of the motorway, believes Britpave, the transport infrastructure group. It also underlined the need for the Government to step-up the programme of replacement of outdated steel barriers with concrete.
