Tilt-up makes the grade for school campus

Durability, energy- and cost-efficiency, architectural freedom and low maintenance are all important attributes in the construction of educational facilities. Today's US school districts are challenged to stretch capital funding for construction projects, which leads to an interesting selection of building methods that can deliver a broader palette of solutions. Site-cast tilt-up construction has proven to provide both the speed and cost-efficiency desired in the short-term, while also offering the long-term performance owners seek. One example of the viability of tilt-up for educational facilities is the 2011 Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) Achievement Award winner, the Evie Garrett Dennis Campus.
