Design contract awarded for link road to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) has awarded a four-and-a-half-year lead engineering design contract to Atkins for a section of the new Hong Kong Link Road (HKLR) project, which will connect the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities (HKBCF) adjacent to the region's international airport. The design-and-build contract will cost around £750 million and is due to finish in early 2017, providing part of a vital new transportation link in the area.
