BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON CHAPTER TALKS VAPOR AND MOISTURE PROBLEMS

On May 6, 2010, the Baltimore-Washington Chapter (BWC) hosted a dinner meeting for over 80 of its members at the Holiday Inn, College Park, MD. The topic of the meeting was moisture and vapor problems. The BWC was honored to have three ICRI Past Presidents in attendance: Peter Craig, Monica Rourke, and Rick Edelson. The presentation focused on why moisture problems occur in concrete floors and how to correct the problems. Peter Craig and Monica Rourke discussed how to properly test for moisture, moisture mitigation methods, and problems due to compressed schedules; and they presented a few case studies.
