Consequences of the new ECJ decision for small wastewater treatment plants and their operators The manufacturers' viewpoint

Since the effective date of December, 15, 2015, much more concerning small wastewater treatment plants has become clear - but just as much still remains unclear. The Federal Republic of Germany has announced that it will fully accept the ECJ decision of October, 16, 2014 and that it will implement it. As of today, a resolution of the "Laender-Arbeitsgemeinschaft Wasser (LAWA)" - a mutual working group representing German Federal States and the Federal Government - has laid down the general orientation. But many detailed questions remain to be answered. Legal certainty will result only from the next plenary meeting of the above-mentioned working group in March of 2016.
