Changes to Expect in the 2008 Edition of the ACI Building Code (ACI 318-08)

ACI Committee 318, Structural Concrete Building Code, has almost completed the technical work for ACI 318-08, "Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary." This represents the completion of the 6-year cycle for the current committee members. The final task for the committee will be its response to public comments regarding proposed changes to the Code. The purpose of this article is to introduce some of the changes and invite your participation in the public discussion of those changes.
