Desktop Support Staff as Percentage of IT Staff

After excluding organizations that do not staff this function, we see in Figure 2 that the desktop support staff makes up about 7.7% of the typical IT department's total staff at the median. The ratio drops to 4.0% at the 25th percentile and rises to 11.9% at the 75th percentile.
