In order to understand whether loans actually expand opportunities among community college students, it is important to understand who is borrowing and who is not. Policy makers need to be mindful of this as they set funding levels for state and federal financial aid programs and not assume that students will use federal student loan programs to offset reductions in other types of financial aid.View full textDownload full textRelated var addthis_config = { ui_cobrand: "Taylor & Francis Online", services_compact: "citeulike, netvibes, twitter, technorati, delicious, linkedin, facebook, stumbleupon, digg, google, more", pubid: "ra-4dff56cd6bb1830b" }; Add to shortlist Link Permalink http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/10668926.2011.525180
