Enrollment in computer science classes in the United States has increased for the first time in six years, according to the Computing Research Association's (CRA's) annual Taulbee Survey.rnTotal enrollment by majors and pre-majors in computer science is up 6.2% per departmen over last year. If only majors are considered, the increase is 8.1%, according to the CRA survey, which collected enrollment data in fall 2008 from computerrnscience and computer engineering departments at 192 Ph.D.-granting universities.
