Modeling the Channel Time Variation Using High-Order-Motion Model

摘要

In this letter, a new stochastic model is proposed for the time-varying channel in mobile wireless communications. In Jakes' model, the receiver (or transmitter) is assumed to move at a constant speed in a very short range of distance (or time). However, this assumption omits the higher order parameters of the motion and thus can not describes the time-varying channel precisely in a variable speed motion environment. To model the time-varying channel accurately in the case of variable speed motion, a novel High-Order-Motion (HOM) model is proposed in this letter to show the effects of higher order parameters on channel response. The proposed HOM model is actually an extension of Jakes' model in a variable speed motion environment and it can describe the channel correlation more accurately.
