HGV driver test waiting times up by two-thirds

The average waiting time for an HGV driving test has increased by more than two thirds in the past 11 months, despite the DVSA telling CM it would adapt its driver examiner resource to meet demand at the start of this year (CM 15 January). Figures obtained via a Freedom of Information (FoI) request reveal that at the beginning of August 2015, 33 of the 49 centres offering HGV driver tests in the UK had seen an increase in their waiting times compared with those obtained by CM via an FoI dated 27 October 2014.
