Former directors fined for waste permit breaches

Two former directors of a waste management firm have been ordered to clear what used to be its site within 18 months after they admitted a series of waste permit breaches. David and Donna Shrigley, the former directors of St Austell, Cornwall-based DRS Demolition National, admitted illegally storing and handling waste at its site between April 2014 and May 2015. They also admitted to failing to comply with an enforcement notice in April 2015, which required the amount of waste on the site to be reduced by 500 tonnes.
