It seems many charities believe fraud is something that happens to someone else. But the Fraud Advisory Panel survey found that while reported fraud is less common among charities than in mainstream business, its impact on individual organisations can be devastating and has brought some to the brink of closure. Despite this, it seems many charities (especially the smaller ones) still have no serious anti-fraud measures or training programmes in place.
