摘要

Problems such as abrasion, yarn breakage and heavy soiling due to residue of spilling oils on fiber have not been solved even after 30 years of introduction of spin-dyeing. There are also stoppages during change of shade and large scale sampling is necessary. In contrast to this dyes can be easily mixed as required during liquor dyeing and standardisation in laboratory trials is possible. Large lot one shade requirement and production of master batches and quick delivery will be necessary to counter these drawbacks in spin dyeing. Spun dyed yarn has also higher wash fastness for dyes and betyarn where data is available due to broad use of acid dyes by both systems.
