Mandhana Industries to build two units in Maharashtra

Mandhana industries, which exports apparels to brands such as armani, french connection and pepe, is planning an investment of rs 150 crores to launch two garment plants in maharashtra, at tarapur and baramati. Both the plants are expected to start production by march/april next year. The company has already assigned close to rs 70 crores on the upcoming plants. Mandhana has four garment units in bangalore (peenya and tumkur) with a total capacity of 3.6 million pieces a year. However, it had to add new plants since they were under pressure to deliver from their clients despite their current plants running at peak capacity. The company also had to outsource about 25 per cent from vendors to fulfil the demand. With addition of the two new plants, company's production volumes are expected to increase by 2.5-3 times.
