Zero discharge joint roadmap and hazardous substance control in the textile industry

The hazardous substance control of textile industry is evolving from the developed countries to a global control and monitoring age. Besides governments, NGOs and consumers are playing more and more important roles as watchdogs of the textile pollution. In the past one year, a series of NGO reports have been published and investigated the discharge of hazardous substances from textiles manufacturing in China and the presence of NPEOs in clothing and footwear. In addition, with the latest technology such as mobile internet and smart phones, everyone can take pictures of pollution sites or problematic products, and upload the pictures on internet in seconds.
