We've found a fairly good selection of models for the cars featured in this issue, but few of them are currently in production. Before there were Internet search engines and auction sites like eBay, collectors looking for discontinued models would have to rely on mail-order dealers or the occasional swap meet. Today, almost any model car can be tracked down online, making it much easier to be a collector. Models of 1949's "low-priced three" are numerous, but the vast majority are Fords. That's where we're going to look first.
