2005-06 Saab 9-2X: Born from Subarus

Like many small car companies, Saab eventually became part of a much larger automaker. In the case of Saab, its parent for more than two decades was General Motors. Business realities meant Saabs soon started sharing parts with other GM brands. Not surprisingly, component sharing eventually led to rebadged vehicles. For 2005, Saab's offerings expanded from two lines to four through the addition of restyled variants of existing products from the wide-ranging GM empire.
