There was a time long ago when I knitted sweaters and afghans for friends and relatives, and for myself. But lately, like so many women who have developed their careers, a great deal of my craft time has been replaced by recovery time. That's what I call the non-working hours that I (and probably you, too) spend recovering from the pressures of work. To fill these hours I do nothing that requires as much planning as a craft or needlework project. I just drift into something like a book or magazine, tv, the wonderful treat of 'early to bed', a walk, or a crossword puzzle. I admit, I miss creating beautiful things.
